Let me tell you about my beautiful children. Isaac is 4 and Piper is 21 months old and they love each other to death. In fact, when Piper was born I thought the phrase “love you to death” was about a newborn and a toddler. I would often take him to the bathroom with me, just so he wouldn’t smother her with hugs. “Aw, that’s so sweet,” you say. I know, I know, but it is also very nerve wracking for a hormonal mother of a newborn. Luckily Isaac never did squeeze Piper past the point of no return and she continues to enjoy all his sweet loving.
They are perfect to me in every single way, as every child should be to their mother….. but they make a lot of poop. Haha! Piper has recently decided she would like to be pooping on the potty like the rest of us. This pleases me greatly, but potty training Isaac was a year long process that I never want to live though again, so I’m a little hesitant. No more diapers is a win, but cleaning dirty drawers for weeks to YEARS, does not sound appealing to me.
A few nights ago, Sweet P is sitting on her froggy potty doing her thing when I tell her, “If you poop on the potty, I’ll give you a cookie.” This was VERY exciting to my little Sweet P. She pushed and she grunted and she told me over and over again, “I poop”. And by golly she did poop. She pushed that 💩 right out….. and then stood up, when plop…. it fell on the floor. I mean, why wouldn’t it fall in the floor? Her brother’s did the first time too! Only he dropped one the size of an ostrich egg, while Piper’s was much more proportional to her adorable size. Anyways, I’m counting it as the first time since she technically pushed it out on the potty. I’d say that’s a joy for sure! Let’s just hope that the next pooping joy lands IN the potty! 😉
